Clark Gore, one of Atlanta real estate’s most recognizable names, will become the face of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.’s local office.
The firm has tapped Gore to lead the office and orchestrate its growth strategy across a broad range of services, including leasing, tenant representation and capital markets, along with building, project and property management.
Raising the profile of those service lines and gaining greater market share will be Gore’s top priorities.
“The wonderful thing is that it’s a complete platform, and we’re going to be expanding across every single service line,” Gore said.
Gore, whose sweet spot has always been office leasing, officially takes on the new role March 1. It would not be surprising to see Gore attempt to tap other top brokers with larger brokerage houses such as CB Richard Ellis Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield.
“We’ll be looking for the best athletes in the market,” Gore said. “It’s always been a market of friendly competition.”
The move means Gore will be leaving Seven Oaks Company LLC, where he was handling leasing at Riverwood 200, a 16-story tower in the Cumberland Mall area that Seven Oaks and partner GE Asset Management are developing.
“We look at this move as a big positive for Riverwood,” said Bob Voyles, principal and CEO of Seven Oaks.
Seven Oaks will use Gore and Jones Lang LaSalle to market Riverwood 100 and 200 to potential tenants.
Gore is former vice chairman of Holder Properties Inc., along with past president of both the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
Gore’s experience in Atlanta will enable Jones Lang LaSalle to boost its presence and offer its clients a greater depth of services, said Bill Krouch, CEO of markets for the Americas.
