Deerfield Township

Project: Deerfield Township

Deerfield Township began in 2013. Seven Oaks and Orkin and Associates are currently developing 164 acres of mixed-use suburban residential and commercial development. Early phases include 165 single-family homes being built by The Providence Group, as well as 560 luxury multifamily units being built by JLB Partners. Seven Oaks Company and its long-time partner are currently master planning the remaining 28 acres for vertical commercial development which will include 250,000 square feet of retail and office uses, as well as over 200 units of age-restricted residential product, all centered around a walkable town center. The expected completion date is in 2020. Located at the McGinnis Ferry interchange at GA-400, this project will be one of the finest mixed-use developments in Forsyth County.

  • Seven Oaks and its partner Orkin & Associates master-planned a complex 164-acre site, of which 25 percent is located in 100-year flood plain.
  • Complex rezoning focused on achieving maximum density on developable property, while integrating flood plain into the village town center plan.
  • Project contains 560 units of multi-family, the only type zoning secured in recent history in this area of Forsyth County.
  • Seven Oaks negotiated contracts with a premier homebuilder and multifamily developer for a dense, urban-style walkable community.
